What is White Words?

White Words is a design and advertising agency based in Singapore, known for serving large clients and building a strong reputation through word-of-mouth referrals. With a focus on creating high-quality content that drives results, White Words has achieved notable success.

However, they realized that relying on referrals alone was not enough to ensure sustainable, long-term growth. The founder sought to implement business development processes that would diversify their lead generation channels and build a playbook for continued success.

The Challenge

White Words faced a significant challenge: while the company had a strong reputation with major clients, most of their business came from word-of-mouth. This created a reactive approach to growth, with no consistent processes in place for generating new opportunities or building long-term value.

The founder recognized the need to be more proactive in business development and wanted to create a repeatable, scalable strategy for continued success.

The Solution

The BD School designed a 5-week, customized training program to help White Words build sustainable business development processes. The training covered:

  • Week 1: Introduced business development principles, goal setting, and the CLAP Framework™.
  • Week 2: Focused on market and competitor analysis, identifying trends, growth opportunities, and SWOT.
  • Week 3: Conducted in-depth customer research using social media insights and mapped effective acquisition channels.
  • Week 4: Guided the founder on creating experiments and developing a business development playbook for scaling.
  • Week 5: Strengthened key skills in communication, negotiation, networking, and strategic partnerships.

This program enabled White Words to implement a structured, proactive approach to business development, diversifying lead generation channels and creating a more sustainable revenue model.

The Outcome

The customized training program helped White Words transition from a reactive, referral-based business model to a proactive, process-driven approach. By implementing the experimentation process and launching new initiatives, the founder was able to open new channels for lead generation.

This led to more diversified revenue streams and a more sustainable, long-term business model. Thanks to the new processes and playbook, White Words is now better equipped to drive growth and secure new clients beyond word-of-mouth.
