As business developers, we are dealing with a lot of data on a daily basis. Our common tasks include collecting, categorizing, analyzing, and storing the data in the most efficient way possible. It's not possible to grow your business without proper data. The data that you’re managing is your biggest asset.

However, sometimes we struggle with managing a huge amount of information. Especially if we don’t know how to organize it to get the most out of it. As a result, we easily get lost in the sea of different information. But we shouldn’t struggle with it! At the end of the day, it’s not as complicated as it seems.

For this webinar, we invited an expert in the field. Our guest Mathijs is a country manager at Vainu and one of the first Dutch employees. Vainu is building a Sales Intelligence platform that helps salespeople and marketers move forward. Powered by technology to collect, read, and understand all company information ever written, Vainu makes these real-time company insights easily consumable directly in its customers' existing business systems.

Watch this webinar and learn about the best practices in data intelligence. Get some useful tips on what data you should look at, how to interpret it, and how to efficiently use it in your day-to-day activities. And apply these tips immediately!

Key takeaways from the webinar: How to use data in BD

It takes an effort to stand out and utilize data. Especially to reach out to the right companies at the right time. Because timing is never right.

However, finding the right time is not impossible when you're using trigger events. Therefore the first step is to find the right time to reach out using trigger events and the second one is to land the meetings using different tooling.

But what is a trigger event in the first place? Trigger event indicates the right time and context to contact a prospect. It could be when something relevant changes that increase the chance of you making a sale. For example, when someone changes a job, the company starts using a new tool, changes in leadership behavior, companies are recruiting or received funding.

Once we've identified relevant companies to reach out to, the second step is landing the meeting. When it comes to landing meetings it's important to know how to stand out. It takes a lot more than just one call or e-mail to land a meeting. But how to do outreach? At Vainu they use the sequence of 5 different stages:

  1. LinkedIn connection
  2. LinkedIn voice message
  3. Email: Video via SoapBox
  4. Calling
  5. Email or Sign Out Email

More takeaways:

  • The best tools for data intelligence
  • Practical examples of trigger events
  • Tips for sending an initial message
  • B2C tips for data
