Webinar: How to run market research
Market research is one of the most important processes, but not the easiest one. In fact, you can easily get lost in a lot of information very quickly. Watch the webinar to learn how to run market research!
Market research is the process of gathering information about your business’s buyers personas, target audience, and customers. It helps to identify and analyze the needs of the market, the market size, and the competition. The aim is to determine how viable and successful your product or service would be, and/or is, among your audience.
In order to be successful, you must have a deep understanding of who your buyers are, your specific market, and what influences the purchase decisions and behavior of your target audience members.
Our guest in the webinar is Sijue Zhao. He is a Senior Manager – Strategy, Alliances, and Market Insights at Signify. If you want to know how to run market research, watch this webinar!
Key takeaways from the market research webinar
There are two types of market research – primary and secondary. In primary research you do research by yourself, while in secondary you gather information from other resources. For example, articles, databases, research papers and so on.
Further, there are 6 steps of market research. The first is to define the problem statement. The second is to structure the problem. The third is to select research methods. Forth is to design the research. And the last two are execution, data collection, analysis, and insight generation.
There are also some common pitfalls. For instance, not having a clear problem statement, misusage of the framework, or unstructured research design.
